PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE

Growing up on the West Side of Toledo, my friends and I played every sports ALL day every day.

One hour we would be playing basketball, an hour later we would be playing baseball.

Multiple sports, that's how we rolled.

So when I became a TWO-SPORT recruit, I took my newfound national recognition in stride.

It was my upbringing that prepared me.

I even have a standout memory of wise words once given to me in my neighborhood:

"If you want to shine in front of thousands, you have to be wiling to outwork thousands in front of nobody"

While the game of basketball has given me so much, many people beyond Ohio

 are still learning I began my career playing 2 sports:

Basketball & Football.

It's not an easy road when you choose to perfect your mind, body and will to compete professionally.

But if you want to succeed at anything, you will have to make the EFFORT.

TERRY CROSBY IN THE NBA

There were 10 rounds and 202 players in the 1979 NBA DRAFT.

Terry Crosby was chosen by the Kansas City later becoming the Sacramento Kings.

He was drafted 62 overall.

November of that same year, this rookie from West Toledo 

had not just one but TWO breakout performances: 

OPPONENT: PHILADELPHIA SIXERS

Terry Crosby led the 2nd unit as a rookie!

He recorded 4 assists in the game against Dr. J aka Julius Erving and Maurice Cheeks.

The result was a W. 

OPPONENT: CHICAGO BULLS

Terry Crosby went 2-for-2 from the field and had 1 assist in a close game.

The result was a W.

As his career spanned continents and leagues, Terry Crosby's play style as a point guard kept him playing years

after being drafted.

"I got to play the game I love and see the world doing it. And man I was just trying to show effort and for my position, be efficient.. 

those two things will get you anywhere you wanna go: efficiency and effort!"
